Note 2007.06.13：
After short leave home, I came back to Milan at the beginning of June. Perhaps the Gemini personalities in me had decided to work, I somehow lost the interest and enthusiasm tracing cows. In fact there are less cows on street at the moment. My guess is that it's almost at the end of the entire exhibition and some of them are sent to repair for the upcoming auction. Anyway, I updated some more pictures on Flickr and put the slide show here. These pictures are including the cows that I haven't had time to write story about. Enjoy the cows!!

雖然回到米蘭，但大概是雙子座性格作祟，我對搜集牛玉照的這件事情，突然失去的興趣。加上這些牛很多都已經送廠維修，而且整個展覽也已經接近尾聲，我就將所有拍過的牛兒（包括寫過單篇文章及還沒來得及寫的），一併用幻燈片的方式在本篇呈現。謝謝大家這段時間的支持與鼓勵唷～

Some cows, in my opinion, are located in very specific places where are difficult to find on the one hand. On the other hand, such way of displacement shows perfectly their independent character and irreplaceableness.

在我看來，有些牛牛根本是被放置在沒有人會特別注意的地方，因為實在難找極了！但已許就是因為地點特殊，使得這些牛牛本身的獨特性及不可替代性，也被凸顯了出來。

Avvinta Tantosa (3)With the information provided by the official website, I've tried to spot those cows behind windows. In fact, they are hosted by these shops. Some of them are located at nice spots; people can easily see these cows when passing by. Others are difficult to find because of various reasons. They have, nevertheless, one thing in common: very difficult to take pictures because during the day the window makes reflection. But anyway I tried and here they are.

藉著 Cow Parade Milano 官方網站上提供的資訊，我開始尋找那些放置在商家內的牛兒們。有些商家的位置優越，連帶地牛兒也被放置在顯眼處，很難不發現他們，有些商家則是在隱密的角落，經常要找很久才找到商家位置，更別說牛兒們了！雖然牛兒們的境遇各不相同，但卻有一個共通點，那就是相當地難拍！不管是晴天還是陰天，白天或夜晚，櫥窗總是會反射出一些有的沒有的景色，反而看不太出牛牛的樣子。不過，我盡力而為，在此分享給大家！

It seems that cows like to move around together. Oh at least when I walk around Milan to find cows, I found many times more than one cow in the same square.

牛應該是群居性的動物吧!?雖然不是很確定，但米蘭的牛牛們經常是三三兩兩地在一起，嗯，他們絕對不是成群的幫派份子，而往往是可愛的對比哩！

Metro is probably the easiest way to move in Milan. With the large number of passengers everyday, lots companies see metro stations as a good spots for their commercials. Most people, like me when I had to commute by metro in Taipei, are probably numb with those frequently changed commercials. But how about cows? Yes, there are three lovely cows going underground trying to make commuters live better.

地鐵，大概是城市人最常使用的交通工具了吧！正因為每日進出的大量乘客潮，不少公司行號也將地鐵站視為廣告的好地點。就我通勤的經驗而言，大部份的通勤族，不論是在台北或是米蘭，大概都對這些就算是天天更換的廣告們麻木吧！但要是廣告換上了巨大的牛呢？是呀～有三隻牛牛目前正分別進駐在米蘭的兩個地鐵站，相信他們應該是替通勤族帶來一些娛樂吧！

Since we arrived Milan, S had continued telling me that the area near metro station Monte Napoleone is very nice because there are lots of small elegant shops around. The first time I finally had chance to get off at this metro station was for the concert at San Marco before Easter. It was dark and shops were closed. Nothing I can see actually. The most recent experience I have with Monte Napoleone was for some cows, which still had no connection with what it is famous of.

之前，Ｓ總是在我們搭地鐵經過 Monte Napoleone 這一站時告訴我，有空要到這兒來逛逛，因為這裡有很多不錯的小店唷！只是在我亂走亂逛的路線中，總是會錯過。好不容易有了第一次體驗，卻又是復活節那週某日到教堂聽音樂會時，晚上天色都暗了、商店也都關門了，那還看得到什麼？而最近的一次經驗又是跟牛有關，說來說去我都還是沒見識過這個Ｓ同事最愛來買名牌的地方。

Key CowProbably after the concert of Tuck and Patti at Blue Note S' friends would like to keep the wonderful music or simply they were tired, they anyway accepted the proposal of walking around in the neighborhood rather than going to Nidaba Theatre. Actually Blue Note Milano is very near Corso Como, the hottest area for the nightlife in Milan. Looking at people talking loudly outside of bars, I was more interested in those cows stand silently on the street.

週末夜走在 Corso Como，我有種置身信義計劃區的感覺。每間 bar 的門口都站滿了人，有些是站在外頭透氣，有些則是尚未來得及進門就被朋友給攔下說話，總之，像是一場露天的嘉年華會似的熱鬧。只是，我對這些擁擠新潮的酒吧沒興趣，倒是覺得那些夾雜在人群間的牛兒們更是特別。

A friend's friend told us that as a Milanese he likes the most Castello Sforzesco because "isn't it amazing to see this ancient treasure standing in the middle of modern fashion city Milan?"

每次見到Ｓ的朋友，他們總會問我喜不喜歡米蘭或義大利，聽到我說喜歡之後，也通常沒再多說什麼。但這位朋友卻直接地告訴我，身為米蘭人，他覺得最引以為傲的是市區內的古堡，『因為妳不覺得在這麼繁忙的市中心裡，能有這樣一座古老的城堡是一件很動人的事嗎？』

20070419 CadornaIt is absolutely easy to recognize Piazza Cadorna because of a big modern statue of a threaded needle standing there. Even though it stands in front of the station Cadorna, next to the traffic turnaround, I always doubt anyone would pay attention to this big thing.

On the contrary, people's attention is drawn easily by these two cows. They are, somehow, weird.

Mezza MillefogileMezza MillefogileWalking toward Castello, one familiar face is smiling at me. Who is that? Her name is "Mezza Millefogile", a cow that was designed by the same artist of  "La Signora della Camelie" and for the same sponsor CLARINS. I like the idea of showing freshness using the leaves but frankly speaking I am bored with this similarity.

知名品牌『克蘭詩』也是這次活動的贊助廠商之一，而他們所贊助的牛牛們身上都佈滿跟網頁上相同的綠葉。在大熱天中看到帶著水珠的綠葉雖然有清新的效果，但，這高度的相似讓我覺得有點無趣。我可以理解藝術家在金主所設的限制下，要發揮所謂的創意是多麼困難的事！

20070417 via DanteVia Dante, the street connected Duomo and Castello Sforzesco, is always packed with people from all over the world. Comparing to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, Via Dante seems happier because shoppers can find outdoor seats easily for enjoying the sun while having lunch or coffee.

I like Via Dante also because of the exhibition it is on. Photos related to the countries that produce coffee beans are now on the road. I found them give an interesting contradistinction especially when people stop to watch people in the photos.

連接著米蘭的大教堂跟史佛薩古堡的但丁路，是我蠻喜歡的一條路。路上總是充斥著來自本地或外地的逛街人潮，感覺相當地活潑。跟同樣滿載的 Corso  Vittorio Emanuele II 相比，但丁路又似乎多了一些歡樂的氣氛。或許是因為一路上總是可以見到人們在陽光下，享受美食的喜悅吧！

Have you had the same thoughts as I always have that the streets, buildings and squares all look in one way during the day but the other when it is dark? Surprisingly I found the cows look also different when they accompanied by the sun or the moon.

我經常走在同一條路上時有種恍神的感覺，明明在白天經常經過這兒，怎麼天色一黑，路就長得不一樣了？在 Piazza San Babila 的牛牛們，竟然也給我這樣的錯覺。

La Signora della Camelie (2)What would you expect to find after passing the square of a august and dignified cathedral? A quiet village like the one near Chartres? Or a beautiful river like the one you find when approaching Notre Dame in Paris? Or a vivid shopping street like Corso Vittorio Emanuele II next to Milan's Duomo?

I don't know which scene I just described is more attractive but I do know that Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is absolutely cows' favorite. Yes, these razzle-dazzle cows make the street even more lively!

大部份的人都驚訝於，米蘭這個充滿名牌及設計 (brands and design) 的城市中心，竟有這一座壯觀莊嚴的大教堂。在穿過米蘭大教堂的廣場後，迎面而來的便是一條充滿生氣的購物街，櫥窗內的商品像是會招手般，讓人禁不住地在這兒將銀兩花光。

這 Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 當然也成了千變萬化的牛牛們的最愛，就像是經過仙女棒一點般，整條街，更增添了活力。

Facing the world famous Teatro alla Scala, Leonardo da Vinci stands in the middle of the Piazza della Scala with his face down. Probably he's been thinking which show to see for ages. Suddenly he realized that there are something more on this tiny square. Not those roaming through tourists from the world, not those rushing across business Milanese; there are some COWs standing quietly with him. "L'invasione delle mucche?" Cows do not answer. Moon starts to show her face and his thoughts drift away just like the noise in the city disappears in the dark.

米蘭歌劇院 La Scala 大概常年列在許多音樂愛好者的拜訪清單中，在這裡，總是可以看到許多悠閒嘻鬧的觀光客跟匆忙穿過歌劇院廣場的米蘭人。廣場中央的那尊達文西雕像，像是在吵嚷的人群中沉思的學究，總是一臉地智慧。只是這天起，廣場上多了幾隻形態優雅的牛，或臥或站，盡是吸引著觀光客的眼光跟相機閃光。達文西應該托著下巴在納悶著吧!?這牛，究竟要待在這兒多久搶鏡頭呢？
